Going Private
Hey all, I really hoped to never have to do this but I have been having some different problems with my blog and I think I am going to have to go private! I hate this so bad because I love that so many family and friends can see what we are up to without logging in and that old friends can just happen upon us but... Anyway, I am probably going to be going private in the next week so if you would like an invite to be able to keep up with us please shoot me an e-mail, let me know via facebook or what not! Thanks and again I am sorry that I have to do this!

Too many toys!
Kyson has just recently become VERY interested in playing with toys. If you give him a variety of things within his reach he will sit and play for a pretty long time! The other day he was playing and was not satisfied with the toys he already had on the floor but needed something from the basket. a moment later I heard a bonk and turned around to see him in the basket reaching for another toy!!
And this picture was after I stopped laughing and grabbed my camera. By now he had inched himself out of the basket a bit!
Warm weather!
While so many of you have been enjoying some warm weather for a little while, we have just recently discovered it again! Let me tell you, I can not wait for summer!!!! We spent a long time outside the other day and again I remembered why I painstakingly shovel this huge deck all winter--it is so we have a nice, snow free, un-muddy place to play this time of year!!! Davin rode his bike and scooter for a long time while Kyson pushed the walker around a bit and watched Davin unceasingly! He would get so excited every time Dav passed him--he would giggle, jump and push the walker around! We went for several long walks and Davin even took his bike for a ride once! We are loving this! Not only do I enjoy getting out but I think my boys do too! Davin has been a totally different kid this week, no whiny times! I LOVE this time of year! (I am just going to add that while I am writing this it is trying to snow, AGAIN!!)

Skiing, Weekend 2
We got to go skiing again last weekend and it was great!!! Grandma and Grandpa came up and went with us again! It was another beautiful day. Almost too nice for skiing, by the end of the day the snow was pretty slushy! This time we got gutsy and put Kyson in a backpack and took him with us! All in all it went pretty good. One little hook up on the chair lift but all went well! Kyson loved it and just watched everyone and even took a nap while we were skiing! He did get a good sunburn despite the sunscreen I lathered his face with! Davin had another great day and was doing wonderful! He still can't stop and had a hard time making a pizza (in his defense the snow was hard to maneuver in) so he stayed on his harness but he was OK with that! He would get off the lift and head straight down. If whoever was with him needed to stop and take a break (snowplowing the entire way down with him is killer on the quads) he got quite irritated!

He is SO ready to go!!!
Ready for his first run!

Nap time!
It took like 0.3 seconds for everyone to fall asleep on the way home!!!

Playing with Grandma and Grandpa when we got home!
He is SO ready to go!!!

Toilet Paper
The yuckies!
We are in a fort!
I came out the other morning after getting ready and I heard Davin yell, "Mom, we are in a fort!" When I came out I saw this...
Davin was working to set it all up! He had couch cushions off and every blanket from upstairs (might I add that at our house that is a LOT of blankets) and was building it around Kyson! Then the two of them played in the "fort" for a LONG time! Love these days!!

Finally, a Snowman!!
Ridiculous as it sounds, we finally built a snowman! We have so much snow all winter, yet every time we have tried to build a snowman it just wouldn't stick. Well, last week we had a very wet spring snow so Davin and I headed out right away to take advantage of this great snowman snow! The funny part was we had to sit on top of or walk through the 3 feet of snow underneath us to find a spot to build one but it was great! We had a good time working together and Dav was finally satisfied with his snowman!

Solid Foods!
Snow painting!
This morning Davin spent a long time outside painting our snow! He was spraying all of our snow with colored water and loved it! He kept saying, "Daddy is going to be SO surprised when he sees our snow isn't white!" It is nice to be able to have some more things to do with ALL of our snow!! We went through 8 spray bottles full and each a different color (or shade)! Here are some of his creations!!

Close to Heaven!
This is what I see when I walk through my house right now!!!

It has been a LONG time since both boys have been taking naps, especially at the same time! I almost don't know what to do with myself! This is awfully close to a mommy heaven if you ask me! They are quite the angels when they are asleep (I love them awake too)!

Skiing!
Wow, I can't believe the difference a year has made in our little guy's ability to ski! Looking back, we made a lot of mistakes last year (skiing with ear infections, trying to take him ourselves...) but we are sure glad he is finally getting the hang of it! Last weekend we met my parents in Jackson to ski Saturday. Davin kept saying he didn't want to ski with a teacher, just with Grandma and Grandpa Sheckler--hey he saved us the money and they were thrilled to do it! He warmed up right away (after sitting down the first run because he was pouting). He skied his first run with Grandma--she had a hold of his harness but he was doing most of it on his own. The second run she just had one finger on his harness and the third run he was skiing on his own, with the straps of the harness let out but only so we could keep him from kamikazing it down the hill!! He did so good and had so much fun. He listened 100 times better to Grandpa's advice than he ever would have listened to us. By the second run he was asking when he could do tricks (maybe we watched a little too much ski jumping during the olympics). We all had a great time and it was nice being able to alternate between the boys. I think all 4 of us adults took a turn each with Davin on the hill and then hanging out with Kyson at the bottom--who was just as content as could be in the snugli, doing some people watching, and napping occasionally! Both boys were really good, we couldn't have asked for a better day!
