Quick Family Pics

We snapped these few family pics before we headed off to church! Nothing major but we did actually get some with OK smiles!

Birthday, Round 2!

Grandma and Grandpa Sheckler came to spend the weekend and celebrate Davin's birthday (a few days early) with him! Nicc was at a football game in Cody so was gone overnight, it was super nice to have some extra hands around the house! Mom and I were able to get out and go to a little craft show while Davin and Grandpa spent many hours sword fighting, playing spiderman, and who knows what! We'll mark this one up as a nice, just fun, weekend!

Buddies!

This is to illustrate Dav's growing affection for his brother. He will ask for me to put Kyson by him while he plays. Sometimes he just plays alongside him and other times he will play with him, talking and telling him about whatever it is he is playing with! Its a good think Kys is so easy going to lay just about anywhere! I think they really might love each other a little bit!

More visitors!

We were lucky to have some of Nicc's family come see us for several days after Kyson was born too! This time lots of visitors! Nicc's mom, sisters and nieces came for several days and everyone got their baby fix, Kyson was in pure heaven always cuddled in someones arms, Davin had a constant playmate, and mom was, well, just relieved--doesn't get much better than that!
One morning Davin woke up and insisted on going outside. It was darn cold but the girls were good to go with him. He insisted that it wasn't cold so would not wear a coat but would go out in his batman PJs and his snowboots. It wasn't cold but the trampoline they were jumping on was covered in ice and 20 minutes later he came in one cute little ice cube!

While everyone was here it happened to be homecoming! We took advantage of the warm weather and headed out to the parade and the football game as well while Aunt Cristy offered to babysit! Yeah again! Not only were we able to enjoy the great fun but the great win as well! Star Vally totally pulled it together and played a great game!

A birthday party too? Yesiree! In Nicc's family there are 6 birthdays in October. Well, 5 of those 6 were here so we celebrated with a great cake, decorated by all involved and Davin was so excited that everyone remembered his birthday (which technically wasn't for a few weeks).

Yeah snow! Maybe

"Yeah!" is only what a 2 year old cries when he sees snow this early! Davin was so excited when we woke up to snow a few weeks back! He could hardly wait to get some "snow clothes" on and go outside! The first time he played outside for a while then we had to run some errands, when we came back the snow was all melted. It has been a while since I had seen such a disappointed little guy!
Of all the cute stocking caps this kid has his very favorite is this orange hunting hat that Grandpa Crosby left here a few years ago! So funny!

Thank goodness though we got a little more snow a few days later!

Pumpkin Masterpieces

The first sign at our house that October has rolled around is several beautifully painted pumpkins! We were talking about pumpkins and I told Davin that the grocery store didn't have any yet. Well, lo and behold when we went to the grocery store that day, they had pumpkins! He was not about to let me leave without some. He got two and has painted them both completely (along with several others later on). The funny thing is, these pumpkins still could undergo a few more paint jobs before Halloween! Davin is so meticulous when it comes to painting! He LOVES to make sure that every square centimeter of the pumpkin is covered. For being as much of a boy on the move he will sure sit for a long time to paint these great masterpieces!
Now trying to stall carving the pumpkin!

Faces of Davin

I was amazed when I sat down to look at pictures that in one quick photo shoot I could capture so many of Davin's feelings about Kyson! His attitude about Kyson changes almost by the second but overall I really feel we are making good progress and he is more and more interested in him and wants to spend more time with him!
Do I have to wait for my brother?

Look Mom, I am playing with my brother!

I love my brother. Isn't he so cute!?!
I can only imagine what Kyson is saying!

Yes, these are all things I have heard Davin say just recently!
