Davin made these pilgrim hats at storytime the other day and we decided to make some more a few days later when we got home. They were a lot of fun and we had some extras to take to one of our neighbor families. They were all sitting on the table after we finished and Davin kept admiring them all day. Finally I told him that afternoon he could have one and we would save one for each he and Daddy for a treat that night and take the rest to Hanna's family. Well, after he finished his and was back to playing I walked through the dining room and noticed we were one short. When I asked Davin what happened to it his response was, as straight faced as I have ever seen, "It just jumped right into my tummy." It was all I could do to resist laughing! They must have been yummy!!

Kyson at play!
Kyson @ 2 months
Wow! I can not believe that Kyson already hit his two month point! It seems like just yesterday while it seems like he has been a part of our family forever!! He is growing like a weed, which really is quite amazing considering he nurses for about 6 minutes TOTAL about every 3-4 hours! I don't mind though!
Kyson at two months is a very happy baby! He just wants to smile and will try so hard even when he is tired, hungry, or not feeling well. He loves to lay on the floor and kick his legs like crazy. He is very vocal and will carry on a "conversation" with you for a long time with many smiles interspersed. He loves to watch Davin and whatever he is doing. We have just recently discovered that Kyson LOVES to be swaddled and will sleep really well nice and tight in his straight jacket. Kyson's hair is turning a gorgeous reddish color--nothing we ever really expected. We love him!
At his two-month well child check-up Kyson weighed 12 pounds 8 oz, and was 23 1/2 inches long!
buddies
We came home from the library the other day and Davin sat right down to look at one of his new books. I laid Kyson down with him and the two of them looked at the book for quite some time. Davin even narrated the book for Kyson! I am so grateful for the buddies these guys have become and look forward to the friends they will grow to be. I joke about the fact that Davin is just enough interested in him but in all reality he is very concerned about Kyson! He is always noting what Kyson is doing and talking to him, playing with him, and making him giggle! At the store the other day a gentleman asked "What aisle can I get one of these on?" pointing to Kyson. Davin just looked at him and said, "He is mine." with great sternness. I love these boys!!!!!!

His legs are broken
Davin just brought me a horse that takes some batteries and it USED TO run. The legs are broken so just spin in circles now but he insisted that it needs a battery. We put a battery in and it just makes a noise but doesn't go anywhere. Davin looks at it and says, "It's legs are broken, hmm, now that is a problem."
Update--as I am typing this the head of this horse fell off! I bet that is a BIG problem!

Makeshift Batman!
Davin wanted a batman cape so bad today so this is what we created! A construction paper cape and the bat that was supposed to go on the cape ended up on his chest! He was pretty darn proud of it and wore it around most of the afternoon. He just kept telling me he was going to wear it to bed too! Hopefully this kid will get a real batman cape for Christmas!!!

More smiles!
